Skin Tightening & Body Contouring

For tighter, firmer skin

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and tone and in time, these changes can often have a direct impact on our confidence. For people who feel self conscious about changes in their appearance, there are effective treatments available to help you regain that body confidence again.

We are proud to be one of only a handful of leading clinics in the UK to offer Exilis Elite, a non-surgical skin tightening and body contouring treatment. This innovative, non-invasive treatment tightens and lifts skin from head to toe, including those challenging treatment areas such as the jaw, neck, stomach, arms, eyes, thighs and buttocks.

Exilis Elite is a pain-free treatment, with minimal downtime and is one of the first devices designed to simultaneously deliver both radiofrequency and ultrasound energies continuously in one device. Delivering optimal energy in the shortest amount of time, it is now possible to trim and tone virtually any facial and body concern, even cellulite.

Skin Tightening & Body Contouring

What to expect

Our skin tightening and body contouring treatments are known for being surprisingly relaxing and, in fact, some of our clients have likened the feeling to a hot stone massage. You’ll spend the duration of your treatment lying on a comfortable bed in our treatment room, whilst our friendly Aesthetician works on your areas of concern.

Other than our lovely natural results, the best thing about our skin tightening and body contouring treatments is that they are relatively pain-free. There are no injections or surgery involved which is reassuring and due to the gentle nature of the treatment, there is minimal downtime afterwards. You’ll leave each session feeling lifted and revitalised!

Skin Tightening & Body Contouring FAQs

Our unique, non-invasive skin tightening and body contouring treatments are designed to firm up sagging skin and facilitate the breakdown of fat in certain areas. We do this by using Exilis Contouring Technology, which uses both radio frequency (heat) and ultrasound technology to heat and remodel the skin’s tissue, to provide a noticeable firmer and tighter lift.

The Exilis Elite meets very strict safety standards and is the leading body contour therapy in the USA where it is FDA approved. The safety and efficacy of the therapy has been thoroughly tested in several clinical studies.

Due to its built-in cooling technology, Exilis Contouring Technology allows real-time monitoring of your skin’s temperature. This enables the practitioner to reach therapeutic temperatures in the shortest amount of time, providing the best outcome whilst ensuring comfort and safety for patients.

All of the skin tightening procedures at Ocean Wood Aesthetics have little or no downtime thanks to their non-invasive nature. You may see some redness occur in the treated areas, although it usually calms down within an hour and you can carry on with your normal activities immediately after receiving the treatment.

The treatment should not be painful. The unique built-in cooling system allows heat to target the necessary skin depth which will achieve the best results, whilst maintaining patient comfort. As a result, many patients describe the feeling to be similar to a hot stone massage. In fact, you’ll be lying down throughout the treatment, so you may even find it relaxing.

Our skin tightening and body contour treatments can be used on virtually any part of the body including:

  • The face
  • Jaw
  • Neck
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Abdomen
  • Arms

We recommend an initial course of at least four treatments, each being around a week apart, which is optimal for most people but this will depend on your cosmetic concerns and goals. In some situations you may require up to six treatments but it is important that you have these treatments close together for optimum results and it is therefore recommended that you schedule them into your diary. A top-up treatment, between three and six months after your initial round of treatments, is a good way to maintain optimum results.

How soon you’ll see results will depend on which part of the body is being treated. For example, when treating sagging skin and wrinkles, some patients will see results after one or two treatments. However collagen continues to be renewed by your body even after treatment has ended, so the best results show after two or three months.

If you are having treatment for fat reduction, good results can be seen after around four treatments. An additional one or two further treatments may be needed to achieve optimum results.

The results of skin tightening can last up to a year. At this point, collagen will begin to break down again in the skin, as natural ageing occurs, but you can maintain results with top-up treatments.

If your treatment is for fat reduction, a healthy diet and active lifestyle will help maintain your results and, again, top-up treatments will help keep on top of those problem areas.

Ideal candidates for our skin tightening and body contouring treatments are men and women of all ages and most skin types, who suffer from sagging or loose areas of skin and are looking for aesthetic improvements.

Pacemakers, metal implants in the treatment area and hip replacements can create some issues, but our practitioners will carry out a full suitability assessment, based on your medical history and skincare goals, before you’re accepted for treatment.

Drink plenty of water (around two litres) the day before a treatment and the day after, to help maximise your results. If you are having our body contouring treatment, then a healthy lifestyle will aid elimination of fat cells.

For facial treatments, we advise that you follow a daily skin care routine. This should include retinol or vitamin A, and preparation with SPF and collagen supplements. If you’re unsure, you can talk to our team and they will provide product recommendations.

Prices for our skin tightening and body contouring treatment range from £600-£1,800 and this price varies very much depending on treatment area and the number of treatments required. For this reason we recommend coming in for a free consultation with one of our experienced therapists.
