Fillers

Create fullness and reduce wrinkles

As we get older, our bodies stop naturally producing collagen and elastin, which is what makes our skin look plump and youthful. When our natural reserves of collagen and elastin have completely dwindled, it can leave us feeling lackluster about our appearance.

Dermal filler injections, often just referred to as fillers, counteracts the loss, by adding volume to the face and smoothing out lines in the skin. They are commonly used to add a youthful plumpness to the lips, cheekbones and jawline, re-creating that youthful glow.

Fillers

What to expect

As you’re making yourself comfortable in our treatment room, our qualified Aesthetician will explain how the treatment works and answer any questions that you may have. If you are concerned about pain, we can apply numbing cream to the area, before treatment starts. Depending on the area being injected and the desired results, the Aesthetician will tailor the amount of filler needed and use a tiny needle to inject the filler into the skin.

Your appointment will take around half an hour and you’ll see results almost instantly! The results should last between three and six months, although some people do find their filler lasts longer.

Fillers FAQs

The fillers that we use (Restylane and Juvederm) contain hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance and is a precursor for collagen, which gives the skin firmness and structure.

Filler is injected into the tissue of the desired area of the face, which is then massaged to ensure even distribution.

It is normal to experience light swelling and bruising of the treated area, but both are usually quick to settle and further massage can reduce persistent swelling. In the very unlikely event that there is an uneven finish, which doesn’t respond to massage, the filler can be dissolved.
